  1. Have you ever disagreed with a staff's (ingame moderating) action? If so, what would you have done as a Server Support in that situation?: I'm sure if you mean the current staff team or the old one. But since i think you mean the current one (the one from yanille, my answer will involve those) I haven't disagreed with any staff member or with any of there actions yet. There was this incident earlier, where 10chains had been jailed by Ironman. As i could figure out during the discussion, ironman jailed him for AFK training, which is clearly against the rules. 10chains and other players complained about this, which i also think is fair. I wasn't able to read the whole discussion, but then Shrimpie said "We can't tell if players are afk training or not". I wouldn't say this was the right response. If 10chains had anything to argue with the mod/helper who banned him, he should msg them privately instead of using ::yell. 10chains even admitted he was afk training, but i still think this should have gone through a different channel, and not through ::yell or the "help" chat. Ironman should also have wrote some kind of ticket/observation which described the reasoning for the ban. This ticket should be forwarded to 10chains, where it states the rules he has broken, and the punishment. But then again, i don't know what's the current process is for jailing/banning/muting people, but this is just my thoughts about it. But to conclude, no i haven't disagreed with any ingame action the staff team have taking so far. A friend of yours comes to you complaining that he has been banned by another staff member, and wants you to find out why. Upon further investigation, you discover that you believe the ban is unjustified. How do you handle that? Even though it may be friend who was banned, he shouldn't be treated any different compared to the rest of the players. If i think the punishment was unjustified, i would contact the person who did the punishment to hear his story, and why he chose that punishment. If i still disagree with the punishment after my talk to my fellow staff member, i would take it even further, and bring it to another unbiased staffmember, to see their point of view. If they agree with the person who banned my friend i would stop my investigation there, because i must be able to trust my fellow staffmembers. If the unbiased staffmember agrees with me, it would bring it higher up to the community manager (Mana), and have a dialog with him about the punishment. The decision from there will then be taking further to my friend. So basically i will try to handle the case as unbiased as possible, but since it was my friend, my opinion may be subjective. I would contact the punisher before i do anything else. Depending on the strength of the punishment, i may skip the unbiased staffmember part, and bring it straight to you, but again that depends. If there are a few users began saying "THIS CLIENT SUCKS!" and spamming it, what would you do? If people started saying that at home square, i would tell them they should contact me so i can hear what they have to say, and see how i would be able to help them. I think its wrong to write it publicly repeatedly, because that may ruin the players' who like the game mood. And if any new player joined while this was happening, it would probably make them quit the game before it even begins. If the complainers' chose not to take it to me, and kept spamming "THIS CLIENT SUCKS!" i would have to take action and give them a temporary mute, to stop the situation from escalating. I would do everything in my power to hear them out and help them, but their approach of complaining is plain wrong so action needed to be taken.

Been in game since the real release date, but have been on the discord since may 10th How many hours do you spend online daily? This really differs on the day. When i got work i'm online around 3-5 hours. If i got a day off i'm online around 5-12 hours a day, depends on what i'm doing that day. Are you active in-game, discord, and our forums? I would say yes. Every time i see somebody ask a question they need help with i'll answer if i can, both in discord and in-game. Haven't really been able to do it on the forums so far, hence the forums have been down. Why would you like to be part of the Varrock Staff Team? I have always been a fan of helping people and make customers happy. I really enjoy interacting with people and learning to know them better. Which is also why i work with what i do (Service manager at a supermarket). Another reason i would also like to be a part of the Varrock Staff Team, is because i have grown really fond of the server, both in how it build up (referring to the grinding experience here), and because i have really met some cool people in here. So now when i have received so much from this server, i would like to pay it back and help it making it grow even bigger and better. What are some of the strengths you possess? I am a very positive guy in general I'm a quick learner Always puts the customers/players needs above my own My dm's on discord is always open (except when i sleep ofc) A lot of leadership experience (From my job and experience as a football coach) Not easily offended and able to keep my calm I take responsibility What are some of your weaknesses you posses? Lacking knowledge/experience in term of moderator stuff (Haven't really been a mod or anything on any RSPS before) Sometimes i may be too focused on certain things, both ingame and real life - this will cause me to lose sight of the bigger picture, but this i something that can be helped. I may seem arrogant/negative towards people, but this often occurs when people have pissed me off / disrespected me in some way. Some days i may be out of reach - if i got too much on my mind i tend to block everything else out, to prevent my mind not getting stressed out. But this only happens 1-2 days a month on average, and sometimes may even happen at all Please describe any experience in leadership or staff roles you currently have or had: Pretty much already covered this above Why should we choose to promote you as opposed to someone else's application? I'm sure there is somebody else applying that can bring the same stuff, as i'm bringing to the table. But why me? First of all, i'm really dedicated to everything i do, so if i get promoted to "helper" or whatever i'm going to be, i won't disappoint any of you. I will do my very best to help the server grow in the right direction and i'm willing to put the time into this. What are some of the recognizable ways in which you helped the community? I have always been helpful when somebody as asked me or the "help" chat anything, but mostly when people asked me personally, since a lot of people in the "help" chat is faster at typing than i am. If i had the answer i would pass it on to the person, who was in need of assistance. Other than that i have found bugs who i have reported to tama, saint or mana as soon as possible, and haven't shared them with anyone, to prevent abuse In a short paragraph, please briefly explain what you hope to bring to Varrock with this position and what you hope to achieve in the future: I would make it my number 1 priority that the current active player base doesn't feel abused or violated. Everyone should feel welcome in the varrock community and anything that could possible hurt that feeling should be taking a look onto and see if it is something i could fix, or if it needs to be passed on the my superiors. I would also make it a priority for the new players that will join the server in the future, have a place/person to ask for help so that can experience the same feeling i had when i started this server. Do you understand that if you break any rules, abuse power, fail to follow the Staff handbook, or turn out to be a horrendous Staff Member, you will be demoted and might have further actions taken against you depending on your offenses? I understand this! I do NOT want to be treated differently compared to the regular players. So if I break my responsibilities, the rules or abuse my power I need to be punished as is.
